It's Saturday night, and this is a song I started writing on Monday night... so it's definitely very new!
It's about struggling to walk in step with God. It's quite different from a lot of the other songs I've been writing recently, far less 'wordy'.
Lyrics:
I find my face held tightly by your hands
through all this sawdust in my eye
I see the tear between your heart and man
I feel the pressure build and die
Behind these worry lines I will hide
it's not like I wanted you to cry
And from this empty grave I turn away
to find your foot step in my stride
I trip and fall into another day
and try to heal my wounded pride
Behind these worry lines I will hide
it's not like I wanted you to cry
I tore my heart in to to find my faith
and held the pieces to the sky
that you would take this pressure from my face
and wash the sawdust from my eye
Behind these worry lines I will hide
it's not like I wanted you to cry.
